Mr. Jones concentrates
his practice in litigation, with an emphasis on products liability,
intellectual property, and commercial disputes. Mr. Jones also supervises
the Firm’s state and federal appellate practices. He has argued before
and obtained favorable decisions from the Federal Circuit Court of
Appeals, the New Jersey Supreme Court and the New Jersey Appellate
Division. He also has significant trial experience in both state
and federal court.
Mr. Jones has been involved at both the trial and
appellate level in many cases that have resulted in noteworthy
published decisions, including Campos v. Firestone
Tire and Rubber Co., 98 N.J. 198 (1984), Weiss
v. Carpenter, Bennett & Morrissey, 143 N.J.
420 (1996), Brett v. Great American Recreation,
Inc., 144 N.J. 479
(1996), Ladner v. Mercedes-Benz of North America,
Inc., 266 N.J.
Super. 481 (App. Div. 1993), and Weiss v.
Mercedes-Benz of North America, Inc., 899 F. Supp. 1297 (D.N.J. 1995), aff’d, 66 F.3d 314
(3d Cir. 1995). He has also served as a member of a special Supreme
Court committee examining and recommending changes to Rules 1.13,
4.2 and 4.3 of the Rules of Professional Conduct.
