Mr. Carey currently concentrates his practice on litigation and professional malpractice defense, including attorneys, medical professionals, accounting professionals, architects and engineers. He also has experience with respect to D&O defense work and defending public entities. He has significant experience in litigating complex matters in the areas of products liability.
Mr. Carey served as counsel for the City Council of the City of New York from 1982 to 1983 and for the Mental Health Information Service for the Supreme Court, State of New York, Appellate Division, Second Department in 1984. He was an adjunct professor of products liability and torts at Seton Hall University School of Law from 1987 to 1995. Mr. Carey also speaks on professional liability issues before the New Jersey State Bar Association, New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and various other bar associations.
